Project Overview

Preserving a landmark in the Cast-Iron District
Built in 1878, this seven-story “white cast-iron” façade had failing bulkhead cladding, corroded dunnage, and eroded masonry that violated Local Law 11 and threatened water ingress.

Precision bulkhead and rooftop work
We removed the entire bulkhead cladding, installed ice-and-water shield, rigid insulation, SBS roofing membrane, and Fermal® rib-panel system. Obsolete steel dunnage was safely dismantled and removed under full pipe-scaffold protection.

Masonry, terracotta & balcony restoration
Our masons cut out and repointed every mortar joint, matched and replaced damaged face-brick, and re-caulked terracotta details with high-performance sealant. Balcony fascias were sounded, patched with polymer-modified concrete, and coated with a vapor-permeable finish—returning this historic co-op to code compliance and aesthetic excellence.
